Spotlight: Sabre Morris

Updated: Jun 8, 2020

TLG is excited to spotlight Sabre Morris, an Atrocity Prevention Intern for the Bureau of Conflict and Stabilization Operations at the U.S. Department of State. Her passion for travel, and interests in human rights and political economy led her to an internship at State, sponsored by TLG and the Association of Black American Ambassadors. In Conflict and Stabilization Operations, Sabre enjoys researching women, peace and security initiatives. Her past federal work experience includes a summer internship with the U.S. Embassy in Lima, Peru, and the Pathways Program at the U.S. Department of Justice’s U.S. Attorney’s Office. Sabre is a graduate student studying International Security at the University of Denver’s Josef Korbel School. She received her B.A. in International Political Economy from Colorado College with a minor in Spanish. A former military child, she calls Denver home. She volunteers her time in mentorship roles for underrepresented communities and is a member of Women of Color Advancing Peace and Security. When not in school or at work, Sabre enjoys the outdoors activities such as fishing and hiking and attending live music shows. After graduating in June 2020, she intends to continue working in the international affairs field across public and private sectors, and ultimately become a Foreign Service Officer.
